Synopsis: Deputies were called to the area of North Rd. on a report of an explosion in the area. On arrival they determined the explosion came from a residence on North Road.
After walking down a long driveway they contacted a subject at the residence that was bleeding from an injury to his hand. The subject was identified as 33 year old Christopher Anderson. Anderson was intoxicated and bleeding from a hand injury. Further investigation revealed that Anderson was drinking when he decided to set off several three inch fireworks mortars he had obtained from a friend. After setting off three of the mortars, the fourth got stuck in the tube he was using to launch them and exploded injuring his hand.
During the investigation deputies discovered approximately 12 pounds of marijuana in the residence. Anderson produced a medical recommendation for marijuana, ten pounds of marijuana was seized and he was left with the proper amount. Anderson was treated at the scene by medics and then cited for possession of explosives and possession of more than one ounce of marijuana.
