| Synopsis: | On 11/24/08 at 11:30 PM Deputy Kevin Spears was patrolling the Hopland area when he observed a vehicle parked behind a closed business at location. Deputy Spears made contact with the driver of the vehicle and asked what he was doing at location when he smelled a strong odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle. Further investigation revealed that the subject Robert Simon was processing marijuana and placing marijuana into small bags for apparent sales. A further search revealed that Simon was in possession of a controlled substance(methamphetamine),approximately one gram, along with concentrated cannabis. It was also discovered that Simon was on probation for a prior marijuana cultivation conviction. Simon was placed under arrest for possession of a controlled substance, possession of concentrated cannabis, possession of marijuana for sales and violation of probation. Simon was transported and booked into the Mendocino County Jail where he is being held on 25,000.00 bail. |
