| Synopsis: | On 122508, at approx. 1355 hrs., a hiker climbing on the rocks along the waters edge at Jughandle State Park located what appeared to be human remains. California State Park Rangers responded and confirmed that the remains found are indeed human and Mendocino County Deputy Coroners responded. A badly decomposed corpse was located and appeared to have been washed up onto the rocks by the Pacific Ocean. The decedents body was recovered. Because of the state of decomposition the investigation is ongoing in an attempt to identify the decedent. The location where the corpse was found is approximately 6 miles north of where Maurizio Biasini was lost in the Pacific Ocean at the Mendocino Headlands State Park on 11/29/2008. Biasini’s body had not been recovered. Based on evidence from the recovered body it is being investigated as the remains of Marizio Biasini. |
