| Synopsis: | On 12-25-08 at approximately 2300 hours Deputies from the Mendocino County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to a report of a shooting in the 100 block of Yuki Blvd. in Covelo. It was later learned that there had apparently been a fight in a field in the 100 block of Yuki Blvd. were several subjects were involved. During that altercation, the 17 year old male victim was shot once in the upper chest. The victim was transported via air ambulance to an out of county hospital, where he was taken for surgery. An investigation into the identity of the suspect who shot the victim is currently underway.
