Synopsis: On 1-11-2011 MCSO received information from the Kent Washington Police Department that S-Shawn David Gulseth, who is wanted for Murder, out of their Jurisdiction, and is an escapee from the Washington State Department of Corrections was possibly staying in the Willits area. According to investigators from the Kent Washington Police Department, S-Gulseth was wanted for stabing a female to death and was considered to be armed and dangerous. In addition, it was learned that S-Gulseth had last been seen at a local business establishment located in the Willits area on 1-10-2011.

Based on information obtained from local citizens it was determined that S-Gulseth was still possibly in the area. Personnel from the Mendocino County Sheriff's Office, Willits Police Department and the California Highway Patrol responded to the area of the Broaddus Creek Bridge, located in downtown Willits. Following a search of the area S-Gulseth was contacted living under the bridge and arrested without incident.

S-Gulseth was transported to the Mendocino County jail where he is currently being held pending an extradition hearing.
