Deputies spoke with the suspects, 3 of which were showing symptoms of methamphetamine influence. A search of the vehicle revealed a usable quantity of methamphetamine as well as several military style back packs.

Other items in located in the vehicle and the back packs were gloves, stocking caps, bolt cutters flash lights, saws, saw blades, duct tape and night vision devices.

The subjects made statements they had driven from the Sacramento area to meet a female and described the location of the marijuana collective.

Further investigation revealed drug paraphernalia and a loaded .380 caliber firearm secreted in the brush near the vehicle. Eventually the suspects admitted they had come to this area intending to steal marijuana.
