Synopsis: On 04.25.12, at about 10:30 AM, Mendocino County Sheriff's Deputies received a report of a burglary at a residence on Simpson Ln., Fort Bragg. The Victim, Joseph Lindsay, believed that he may have interrupted the thief and while checking his property he saw a subject that he knows as "Nick" walking toward him carrying a chainsaw that was taken in the burglary. Nick, later identified as Nicholas Pollard, told Lindsay that he had found the saw nearby and gave it to him, before leaving the area on a bicycle. Lindsay then went to check on his neighbor, Michael Doud's, house. Lindsay found that Doud's residence had also been broken into and it appeared that items had been taken.

Mendocino County Sheriff's Deputies are familiar with Pollard, who is presently wanted for three outstanding arrest warrants- Felony warrant for failure to appear on charges of Grand Theft, Burglary, and Possession of Controlled Substance-$15,000.00 bail, Misdemeanor warrant for failure to appear on charges of Possession of a Concealed Dagger, Possession of Metal Knuckles, and Possession of Controlled Substance-$5,000.00 bail, and Misdemeanor warrant for Violation of Probation, $2,500.00 bail.

On 04.25.12, at about 4:00 PM, Mendocino County Sheriff's Deputies received a call from a passer by of several subjects fighting alongside the roadway on Mitchell Creek Dr. When deputies arrived they found that Lindsay and several other subjects were attempting to detain Pollard.

Deputies arrested Pollard and he was taken into custody without incident. Pollard was subsequently booked into the Mendocino County Jail for the listed warrants and new charges of 459 PC-Burglary. Pollard is being held with bail set at $77,500.00.
