Synopsis: On 6-6-2012, at about 1900 hrs, MCSO deputies were dispatched to the area of MPM 62, N. Highway 101 in Laytonville, to assist the California Highway patrol regarding a domestic dispute.

Upon arrival the on scene Highway Patrol Officer reported that he had received information that S-Jeffrey French had been involved in an assault of a female passenger while he was operating his vehicle on Highway 101, near Laytonville.

Upon further investigation it was determined that S-French and the female passenger, got into an argument while they were driving to Ukiah. During the argument, a soda was spilled on S-French, at which time he became angry. S-French then struck the female passenger and refused to stop the vehicle when she advised him that she wished to get out. The passenger was able to force the vehicle to a stop, at which time S-French pushed her to the ground, causing minor injuries to the female.

S-French was placed under arrest for the infliction of injury on present, or former, spouse or cohabitant or parent of their child. S-French was transported and booked into the Mendocino County jail where he was held on $25,000.00 bail.

The female victim in this incident suffered only minor injuries that did not require medical attention.
