Synopsis: On 8-23-2012 at approximately 1308 the Mendocino County Sheriffs Office Dispatch Center received a telephone call from a Redwood Credit Union Employee in Point Arena,CA advising that their business had been robbed.

The employee advised two suspects, one being armed with a revolver, had entered their business and demanded the employees to empty their cash drawers at gunpoint. Threats of violence were made by the suspects if the employees or customers tried to flee the business or failed to open the cash drawers.

The suspects then removed approximately fifty thousand ($50,000)dollars from the bank and then fled the location.

Witnesses were able to see the suspects enter a Jeep Utility vehicle and did in fact capture the license plate number as it fled the scene.

Sheriffs deputies along with California Highway Patrol Officers were advised of the incident and responded to the location, in an effort to locate the suspects and or vehicle.

California Highway Patrol Officer Solomon and Mendocino County Sheriffs Deputy Espinoza both took the Fishrock Road in order to locate the possible suspects. Officer Solomon located the suspect vehicle driving east bound on Fishrock Road. The suspect vehicle then stopped and Suspect Ojeda exited the passenger side. The suspect driver then continued to drive east bound on Fishrock Road. Officer Solomon then observed Suspect Ojeda standing on Fishrock Road.

Officer Solomon then detained Ojeda and advised other officers that the suspect vehicle was driving East on Fishrock Road towards Boonville.

Deputy Espinoza, with the assistance of Officer Solomon then conducted
a high profile vehicle stop on the suspect vehicle. After a short stand off with the suspect (identified as Fred Orlando), he was detained and then placed under arrest for the listed charges.

A search of the vehicle revealed the stolen money along with the described handgun, which was a loaded 38 caliber revolver.

Both suspects were subsequently arrested and then booked into the Mendocino County Jail on the listed charges. Their bail is set at $100,000.
