Synopsis: On 08/30/12 Deputies from the Mendocino County Sheriff's Office(MCSO) Marijuana Eradication Team (COMMET) assisted by MCSO Patrol Deputies, MCSO Detectives, MCSO Animal Control Officers, agents from the Mendocino Major Crimes Task Force (MMCTF) and Wardens from the Department of Fish and Game served three search warrant in the 13000 Block of Low Gap Road. Two of the search warrants are being investigated by MCSO COMMET Deputies while the third search warrant is being investigated by MMCTF.

Seized from the first location at APN#154-160-04 was over 230 large marijuana plants, processed marijuana, $5471 in US Currency and other evidence that the marijuana was possessed for sales. Arrested at this location was Applebaum, Sittig, Sells and Rapoport.

Seized from the second location at 13333 Low Gap Road was over 280 marijuana plants and evidence that the marijuana was possessed for sales. Arrested at this location was Husiar.

Officers conducted open field raids in the surrounding area and eradicated an additional 335 marijuana plants from five different garden sites. Several suspects have been identified and followup investigations and possible arrests are going to be conducted.

Illegal water diversion was discovered at several of the grow sites and follow up investigations are being conducted by Fish and Game Wardens to identify the responsible parties.
