Synopsis: A magnitude 4.4 earthquake struck the Ukiah Valley Area. The event did not trigger a tsunami advisory, watch or warning. Preliminary reports from the United States Geological Survey show the quake was centered 2 miles east by
northeast from Ukiah and was approximately 3 miles below the earth's
surface.

There has been no reported damage at this point but citizens are encouraged to report damage to the Mendocino County Office of Emergency Services at (707)467-6497 or by email at OES@co.mendocino.ca.us.
