Synopsis: On 10/13/2012 at about 2230 hours Mendocino County Sheriff's Deputy Brewster conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by Eric Tysick for traffic violations. Also in the vehicle was suspect Zachary Henderson.

Tysick was contacted and admitted to having a suspended driver's license. A records check on Tysick was conducted and confirmed his driving privileges were suspended.

Deputy Brewster located metal knuckles with an attached spring loaded knife on Tysick's person during a consent search.

Deputies contacted Henderson and had him exit the vehicle. Henderson advised the deputies the vehicle was rented in his name and gave Deputies permission to search the vehicle.

A search of the vehicle was conducted and Deputies located a loaded semi-automatic pistol in the driver's side door pocket and drug smoking paraphernalia. Deputies completed a search of the vehicle with the assistance of Ukiah Police Department Officer Marsolan and his K9 partner Daisy, who specializes in drug detection.

Deputies located heroin, methadone and marijuana in the vehicle, as a result of alerts made by Daisy.

Also located was a billy club and more drug paraphernalia. Both Tysick and Henderson were evaluated for drug usage and found to be under the influence of illicit drugs.

A criminal history check of both subjects revealed Tysick was a convicted felon from the state of Arizona. Both subject were arrested for the listed violations and incarcerated at the Mendocino County jail with bail being set at $25,000.
