Synopsis: On 02/22/2013 at approximately 1620 hours, Mendocino County Sheriff's Deputies received a radio call for service regarding a burglary in progress at a residence in the 45000 block of Heeser Street in Mendocino.

The person reporting the crime [Dorothy Baker] was the victim and owner of the residence at that location.

Baker was out of the area and observed the suspect inside her residence via a live-feed video camera positioned inside the residence and accessible by the internet. Baker provided a description of the suspect and monitored the suspect while Deputies responded.

Upon arrival, Deputies approached the residence and ultimately made contact with the suspect, Alec Faccone. Faccone was observed exiting the residence after Deputies arrived. Faccone was arrested and the residence was searched.

During that search, several firearms were located in Faccone’s immediate possession and were identified as property not belonging to Baker. One of those firearms was a pistol modified with an illegal silencer. A modified rifle was also found that had the barrel illegally shortened and buttstock cutoff.

Deputies determined Faccone had forced entry into the residence and had remained at the location for about 1-week. Faccone was also confirmed to have an active felony arrest warrant out of Seattle, Washington for robbery.

Faccone was transported to and lodged at the Mendocino County Jail on the listed charges to be held in lieu of $200,000.00 bail.

Further investigation into other property found at the location revealed that Faccone was responsible for at least four other reported and non-reported burglaries in the Mendocino and Fort Bragg areas.

Deputies are actively following other investigate leads that potentially might connect Faccone to 2 other reported burglaries in the Mendocino area.

Anyone with information pertaining to any other possible burglaries related to this investigation are urged to contact the Sheriff's Office Tip-Line by calling 707-234-2100.
