Synopsis: On 04-29-13 at approximately 1741 hours, Deputies from the Mendocino County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to the 2000 block of Valley Road in regards to an interrupted burglary of a vehicle.

The vehicle's owner had discovered a seventeen year-old male searching through his car while the second suspect, eighteen year-old Harlan Williams of Willits, appeared to be standing watch. When the owner confronted them, Williams brandished a knife and threatened to kill him.

The suspects fled on a scooter and a bicycle without taking anything, which prompted the victim to call the Sheriffs Office.

The seventeen-year-old was located and arrested by the first responding Sheriff's Deputy. The juvenile was transported and booked into Juvenile Hall.

Harlan Williams was located and arrested at a nearby home about an hour later by Officers from the Willits Police Department. Williams was booked into the Mendocino County Jail to be held in lieu of $20,000.00 bail for charges of brandishing a weapon and criminal threats.
