Synopsis: On 06-13-13 at approximately 1100 hours, Deputies from the Mendocino County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to the Howard Memorial Hospital Emergency Room to investigate a possible incident of domestic violence.

A 30 year-old female with a bruised and swollen left eye was dropped off at the hospital for treatment by a male named "Shelby". The female walked away from the Emergency Room prior to the arrival of the Deputies.

Deputies were familiar with the female and suspected "Shelby" to be Shelby Wade Miner, who resided in the Willits area. Deputies knew Miner to be the female's husband.

The area around the hospital was searched for the female without success.

The female was located in the Willits area approximately one hour later by Deputies and a subsequent interviewed was conducted.

The Deputies learned the female and Miner had argued about money issues on the afternoon of 06-11-13. Miner grew angry and punched the female once with his closed fist causing bruising, discoloration and swelling to the area around her left eye.

After concluding the interview Deputies contacted Miner at his residence where he was arrested for 273.5 PC, a felony violation.

Miner was booked into the Mendocino County Jail where he was to be held in lieu of $25,000.00 bail.
