Synopsis: On 09/13/2013 at approximately 1350 hours, Deputies were dispatched to a reported burglary at 43301 Caspar Little Lake Road in Caspar. Deputies met with the victim Patrick Fleuret at his residence to investigate the incident the following morning on 09/14/2013.

Deputies learned that Fleuret’s garage had been entered by an unknown subject(s) sometime during the last week and that forced entry had been made through a rear exterior door. Fleuret informed Deputies that several power tools were missing. Fleuret was able to provide Deputies with a detailed list of the stolen items that had a total value of approximately $5,500.00.

Based on that list of and the descriptions of those items, Deputies had Fleuret respond to the Sheriff’s Office Fort Bragg substation to view a collection of tools seized from a probation search that occurred on 09/13/13 at 400 South Main Street in Fort Bragg. The probationer contacted during that search was Tucker Chester who was on active formal probation with a search and seizure term.

Fleuret was able to positively identify the tools seized from Chester as the same property taken from his residence.

On 09/14/2013 at approximately 1030 hours, Deputies responded to 400 South Main Street and contacted and arrested Chester for possession of stolen property and violation of probation. Chester was transported to the Fort Bragg Substation where he was interviewed regarding the tools he had in his possession. During that interview, Chester admitted to Deputies that he had forced entry into Fleuret’s residence to steal the items found in his possession.

Chester was additionally charged with burglary and ultimately transported to the Mendocino County Jail where he was booked and lodged on the listed charges. Chester is being held in lieu of $50,000.00 bail.
