Synopsis: On 01/18/14 at about 0120 hours Mendocino County Sheriff Deputies were dispatched to a residence in 10000 block of Monterey Road in Redwood Valley, California regarding an assault with firearm.

Upon arrival Deputies contacted the adult male victim at the intersection of Mohawk Drive and West Road in Redwood Valley.

The victim reported he was at his girlfriend's, Angela Hayden, residence earlier in the evening. An argument ensued between them and the victim called a friend to pick him up at the residence due to him having consuming alcohol.

The victim's friend was dropped off at the residence and they subsequently entered the victim's vehicle to leave.

Before they could leave, Angela Hayden came out of her residence with a pistol and shot several times at the victim's vehicle.

Several bullets struck the victim's vehicle including the rear passenger window and a rear tire of the vehicle.

The victim noticed Hayden's pistol was out of ammunition so he exited the vehicle and took the firearm away from her.

The victim left the residence in his vehicle with his friend and they drove down the road to Mohawk Drive to await law enforcement arrival.

Deputies observed several apparent bullet holes in the victimís vehicle. Deputies recovered a semiautomatic pistol taken by the victim, which was registered to Hayden.

Deputies contacted Hayden at her residence and noticed she was extremely intoxicated.

As Deputies were talking to Hayden, they observed spent cartridge casings in the driveway of the residence. They also observed another vehicle in the driveway with apparent bullet holes.

Hayden was subsequently arrested for attempted murder and discharging a firearm at an occupied vehicle.

Hayden was transported and incarcerated at the Mendocino County Jail to be held in lieu of $500,000.00 bail.
