Synopsis: On 01.20.14, at about 1100 hours, a person went to a residence located in the 26000 block of South Highway 1 in Point Arena, California to check on it as the owners were not home.

This person found that someone had broken into the house and smashed numerous items, fired what appeared to be shotgun rounds into the walls and a television, and things were strewn about inside.

While checking the damage the sound of the perpetrator still being in the house could be heard and Mendocino County Sheriff Deputies were summoned.

Upon their arrival a Deputy, assisted by a California Department of Fish and Wildlife Warden, went into the residence and began searching for the suspect.

They searched through the house, noting damage in all of the rooms, and eventually encountered Bradley Danahy, and his dog, in one of the rooms.

Danahy had located a shotgun in the residence, and had cut off both the barrel and buttstock, and was now pointing it at the Deputy. Danahy immediately dropped the shotgun and was arrested without incident.

Danahy was transported to the Mendocino County Jail where he was lodged for violations of 245(D)(1) PC, 12022(A)(1) PC, 459/460 PC, and 594(B)(1) PC and was to be held in lieu of $75,000.00 bail.

Danahy was also found to be wanted on an arrest warrant from the State of Idaho for aggravated battery causing injury and possession of drug paraphernalia with a $26,000.00 bail.
