Synopsis: On 02-13-2014 at approximately 8:27 PM, a Mendocino County Sheriff’s Deputy assisted the California Highway Patrol with a traffic enforcement stop within the 18600 block of North Highway 1 in Fort Bragg, California.

While assisting the California Highway Patrol Officer, the Deputy observed drug paraphernalia in plain view inside the vehicle. The Deputy then learned the driver, Michael Kagley, had an active misdemeanor arrest warrant for driving on a suspended license [14601.1 VC].

Kagley was arrested on the warrant and a search of his person and vehicle was conducted by the Deputy. During that search, a total of two glass pipes and 4.0 grams (Gross Field Weight) of what field-tested presumptive positive as methamphetamine was found in Kagley’s possession and two additional glass pipes were located inside his vehicle.

Kagley was booked into the Mendocino County Jail where his bail was set at $10,000.00 for the open charges of 11377 HS and 11364 HS, and $2,500.00 for the misdemeanor arrest warrant.
