Synopsis: On 04/23/2014 at approximately 4:19 PM, Mendocino County Sheriff’s Deputies conducted a traffic enforcement stop on a vehicle with a lighting violation, with the vehicle yielding in the 18000 Block of North Highway 1, Fort Bragg.

The driver of the vehicle, Brian Gulbranson, was found to have been operating the vehicle with a suspended/revoked driver’s license. The passenger and registered owner of the vehicle, Tanya Stansfield, was identified as the passenger in the vehicle.

Deputies conducted a search of the vehicle and located a small amount of marijuana, a handgun and ammunition in the trunk of the vehicle and a concealed loaded handgun in the passenger compartment of the vehicle. It was determined that Gulbranson is prohibited from possessing firearms or ammunition due to prior felony convictions.

Gulbranson and Stansfield were arrested without incident and incarcerated at the Mendocino County Jail. Gulbranson was booked for violations of 29800(a)(1)PC, 25400(c)(1)PC, 25400(c)(6)(a)PC, 25850(c)(1)PC, 30305(a)(1)PC, with bail set at $25,000.00. Stansfield was booked for violations of 25400(c)(6)PC and 25850(c)(6)PC, with bail set at $15,000.00.
