Sex Offender Registration

Registration hours for convicted sex offenders are from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, excluding holidays. Please bring your ID with you and provide us with the date and place of your conviction and the offense for which you were convicted.

Registration takes approximately 30 minutes. At that time you will be fingerprinted and photographed.

If You Move
Once you have registered with us, or re-registered if moving back to Mendocino County, you need to let us know if you move. If you move within the County, you have five days to come in and re-register.

You can notify us in person or in writing at the following address:

If you move out of Mendocino County, you need to notify us in writing within 5 days. You'll also need to register in person at the sheriff's office and/or police station in the county to which you move.
